The Wedge Plate Kit option can be fitted in instances where the front bolt on the base plate has no bolt anchoring point or the alignment needs to be altered. The ''Latch Support'' is designed to support the front of the latch if it is protruding with no backing support and no surface to mount the front latch bolt.
Good performance with the L & R Boat Latch is achieved by having the correct angle where the Latch meets the Snare. The ''Wedge'' allows you to change the angle by 14 degrees up or down.
Note that bolts are NOT included. Complete kit includes 2 x plates plus support frame.
